Internship Opportunities 2017

Our internships offer great opportunities for dedicated workers interested in learning more about the political process and enhancing their skills in the political realm. By working under principals of different divisions our interns are able to learn about the industry and hone their skills in order to understand what it takes to be successful in politics today.

Strong candidates will have campaign/political experience, a strong interest in politics and the political process, and a committed work ethic. They should be dependable, flexible, detail-oriented, be able to work in a fast-paced environment, be comfortable working independently, and possess excellent writing skills. All candidates must be comfortable with Microsoft Office and Outlook.

The following positions are available:

Will work under the associates and managers of our communications division. Candidates should have strong writing, editing, and communication skills, and be interested in advocacy campaigns relating to clean energy, sustainable resources, healthcare, grassroots organizing, and social justice.

Candidates with experience using Cision, TV Eyes, and other media monitoring platforms are preferred.

Applicants should be able to commit at least 3 months to the internship program. Interns will receive a stipend each month. We are seeking recent college graduates with some internship experience working in the communications field (on a political campaign, at an organization, or with a firm) who are looking for an opportunity for growth, possibly into a full-time position.

Will work under the supervision of our digital communications manager. Top candidates will have experience writing for the web, be adept at using social media (Facebook, Twitter, etc.), and be interested in advocacy campaigns relating to clean energy, grassroots organizing, and social justice. Experience in video editing and graphic design is a plus.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Assist in the research and planning of online marketing and advocacy campaigns.

• Create social media content and guidance for clients and partners.

• Help with the development of digital collateral including but not limited to email campaigns, web ads, and infographics.

• Keep up-to-date with digital media practices and trends.

• Assist with general office duties, as needed.
