Digital Strategy Assistant

STG is looking for a Digital Strategy Assistant to work with our top-tier clients in environmental protection, public lands conservation, electoral campaigns and other fields.

We’re not looking for gurus — just someone who has some skills and talent, and who can work in a demanding environment without losing their cool.

Most importantly, we want someone who “gets” digital strategy and can translate an overall communications goal across different platforms.

Think this is you?

You should be a strong writer and be able to translate complicated topics into clear, compelling language. You should know how to communicate with different audiences and how to tailor messages for social media platforms, blog posts, email, etc.

You don’t have to be a huge nerd, but you should know your way around a CMS (preferably Squarespace) and an email/CRM platform (preferably MailChimp and Salsa). We’ll assume that you know how to tweet and post things on Facebook.

You should have some of these skills too:

  • Understand web and social media analytics and how to act on them
  • Be capable of putting together reports and summaries for clients
  • Have some design chops, or at least enough to put together some social media graphics
  • Be able to work with a wide array of folks from press assistants and political strategists to video producers, graphic designers and ad vendors
  • Have a can-do attitude

If you have all of the above, we’ll probably try to hire you. If you don’t, convince us that you have the ability to learn something new.

Ideal person should have a couple years of experience, but recent college grads would be considered. Previous political experience, campaign or otherwise, is a plus.

Salary: $40,000.00 to $45,000.00 /year

We also provide a generous benefits package.

Interested? Send an email to with your resume, cover letter and some examples of your work.
