Executive Assistant

STG, a progressive public affairs firm founded by Obama alums, is looking for an executive assistant to provide high-level administrative support to the President, CEO, and Chief of Staff by scheduling and managing calendars, providing operational and office support, and other duties such as preparing correspondence, receiving visitors, and maintaining the office.

Want to join our merry band of communications and campaign people?

You should be prepared to do these kinds of things…

  1. Manage calendars and schedules for President and CEO.
  2. Write reports, memos, letters and other documents using word relevant computer software.
  3. Answer phone calls and direct calls to appropriate parties or take messages.
  4. Greet visitors and determine whether they should be given access to specific individuals.
  5. Perform general office duties such as ordering supplies and maintaining records management database systems.
  6. Make travel arrangements for executives.
  7. Provide assistance to the Chief of Staff.

  3. Collaboration Skills.

  5. Flexibility.
  6. Patience/Composure.

Position Type and Expected Hours of Work

This is a full-time position. Days and hours of work are Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.  

Preferred Education and Experience

  1. Bachelor’s degree or commensurate experience
  2. Experience Scheduling
  3. Interested in Democratic Politics
  4. Campaign or political experience preferred

$36,000-$40,000, Dependant on Experience

Internship Opportunities

Communications Internship

Interns will work under the principals of our communications division. Candidates should have strong writing, editing, and communication skills, and be interested in advocacy campaigns relating to public lands and natural resource conservation, health care reform, grassroots organizing, and social justice.

Applicants should be able to commit at least 3 months to the internship program and be available between 15 and 30 hours per week. Interns will receive $13/hour with $50/month for travel expensesWe will be flexible with specific dates for students who need to return to school prior to the end of the internship.
